Imagine this situation – you are at work and your friends call you to let you know that tonight you’re going out. The problem is that you finish work at 6:30 pm, but you need to be ready until 7:30 pm. You know that you don’t have much time because you’ll need some time to get home and start preparing. But actually there is a way! You can easily turn your day makeup into evening makeup with few easy steps!

Step 1: Clean up3

The first thing you need to do is remove any damages you’ve done to your look throughout the day. You can use blotting papers to get rid of any oils on places such as your nose, forehead, chin, and cheeks. Take care of any smeared eye makeup, and after that touch up your concealer and foundation.

Step 2: Eyeshadows

In order to upgrade your daytime eyeshadow makeup, use a darker shade of the same shadows. Start with the creases of your eyes, and after that continue with the outside eye corners, using the same shade. You can also put some shadow under your bottom lashes. If you like, you can put some eyeliner to your upper lashline, and if you really want to enhance your eyes, use liquid eyeliner. It’s not recommended to put another coat of mascara, because this may lead to clumps.

Step 3: BlushPicture 3

If you have used blush for your daytime makeup, you won’t need to put more. At night you don’t need that much blush as you do during the day. Instead, you should use some sparkle. The best choice would be a shimmer powder. With it, you can highlight your cheekbones, forehead, chin, and neck.

Step 4: The lips

In order to make your lips stand out, apply a darker lip color. And if you want to add an extra something to your lips, apply a shining lip gloss. But be careful not to overdo your lips. Since you’re going to have dark shadows on your eyes, you should pick a brighter color for your lips. If you try to highlight both, you won’t look like a hot chic, but more like a clown.

Step 5: HairPicture 4

And of course, you cannot forget about your hair. The fastest thing you can do is a French braid, or a high ponytail. Depending on the occasion, if your hair hasn’t gotten too messy during the day, you can just let it down. In order to absorb any oils that may have build up, use a dry shampoo.

And like that, just for a few minutes, your look will be finished and you’ll be ready to set off to the party. It won’t take you more than 10 minutes to finish the steps. The only thing left is to dress up, put on your favorite heels, and voila!
